collections for this have been postponed so as not to clash with the Gaza Appeal. Envelopes will be available on Sunday 28th April. The traditional service to dedicate the Circuit's offering will be held at 3.00p.m. on Sunday 9th June at Layton Methodist Church.

I will be leading the service at Windmill Lodge at 11.00a.m. on Thursday 2nd May I would very much appreciate some folk to come with me to help swell the singing and for a bit of moral support! Janette Farley

On Saturday 11th May at Church Road Methodist Church from 6.30 p.m. Cost £5 per ticket. Refreshments - hot dogs and sweet treats plus tea and coffee. Games will be provided but feel free to bring any game that three or four can play. Tickets from Bill Ellison (Tel. 07969 168205 or EMail Bill Ellison ). Donations of wrapped chocolate biscuits for the refreshments would be greatly appreciated, as would gifts suitable to be awarded as prizes.

Envelopes will be available on 12th and 18th May to contribute to the work of Christian Aid Week. This year it will focus on the cost-of-living crisis faced by many people around the world.

Meetings held on Wednesdays, fortnightly, at The Drive Methodist Church at 2.15 p.m. in the Community Room. These are the last meetings before the summer break.

We are sorry to announce the death of Kathleen Fenn on 16 April. She was a member of Church Road for many years. Her funeral will take place at Lytham Crematorium on Friday 17 May at 3.30 p.m.

On Sunday 19 May the successful ‘Walk of Witness’ around Ashton Gardens, with banners and singing, followed by a service in the garden of the URC, will be repeated.

Please contact Sharon Hird (Tel: 07910 622345) if you can help to produce items suitable for a stall at the back of church. These will be tagged with a Bible message and sold for fund raising.
