Collections for the Benevolent Fund are to be reintroduced at the end of Holy Communion services. This is perhaps a good way to put your loose change to use, once your collection box has been handed in.

Dear members, I was delighted just before Christmas to receive a presentation in the form of a voucher from the Church members to acknowledge my work as Church Treasurer over the past twelve years.
I would like to take this opportunity to thank the Church Road family for your kindness and generosity in giving me this gift and to express my thanks and appreciation for your support.

We are sorry to announce that Matthew Cooke (who used to join us for worship in a wheelchair) passed away in December. The family have approached Revd Stephen Heath to conduct his funeral, but no details are known yet.
His father told Louise that the doctors warned them that Matthew would not survive infancy so to reach the age of 44 was incredible. He loved coming to worship and particularly enjoyed the music, especially guitars. We haven't seen so much of him since Covid when he was moved nearer to Blackpool and his carers couldn't always manage to bring him to church. He died peacefully.
